The Jet Express

The Jet Express has been a client of mine for a while, its probably because i'm also a captain for them! The site has gone from a simple site that just has some information about pricing and boat schedules to a full dynamic Joomla CMS site that gets over 2000 unique visitors a day.

The Jet Express still needs all of the old standby's like they used to in their new design, but we integrated a lot of new features. By using the Joomla CMS we were able to allow multiple users into the site. This allows for people with no design or coding experience to update and change information on jet-express.com.

Also with the Joomla CMS we were able to integrate an employment section where people can apply for and get updates on their applications for summer employment. Put-in-Bay Boat line and the Jet Express has almost 100 employees and we took over 1000 applications last year for employment. It was an easy way for management to fill all the positions needed without having to go through hundreds of paper applications.

Also installed on jet-express.com is an newsletter component, and google maps integration. Check soon for more improvements for the 2010 season!
